Find your iPhone if it is stolen or lost

You do not need to worry when you lose your iPhone, because there are many different ways that help you recover it even if it is not connected to the Internet or when its battery is dead.

This is thanks to Apple's inclusion of many tools and features in its operating system that allow you to easily recover your phone when it is lost or stolen.

If the Find My app is enabled on your iPhone, you can use the same app on your iPad to find it.

Although, you will not be able to see the real-time geographic location. However, the Find My app lets you know the phone's last location in case the battery ran out.

If your phone is offline but still working, the app determines the phone's current geolocation.
To do this, follow these steps:

• Open the Find My app on your iPad.
• Click on the Devices tab.
• A map showing your activated devices appears in the application.
• Select the lost iPhone in the list of devices.

• Tap the Directions option to get the approximate location of the phone when it goes missing if the battery runs out.
• If the phone is not connected to the Internet but it is working, you can tap the play audio option to help you locate the phone.
• You can also toggle the button next to Notify me if the phone is found to send notifications and update the phone's location the next time it is turned on.

If the iPhone is turned off, it appears across the map and sidebar as a blank screen phone. But if it's on it shows up via the map and sidebar as a phone with an active screen.

You can also use your computer's web browser to find your lost iPhone. To do this, follow these steps:
• Go to the iCloud website via your computer's web browser.
• Sign in with your Apple ID.

• Select the All devices option at the top and then choose the lost iPhone.
• Show you a map showing the location of the lost phone.

Activate the lost mode feature

When you use Find My to locate a lost iPhone, you see an option called Mark as Lost. When you activate this option, it locks your phone remotely and displays a private message with a phone number that you can be reached through.
The Apple Pay app is disabled, as well as turning off most app notifications, yet your phone can still receive calls and messages.

In addition, the mode turns on location services so that you can locate the phone in the Find My app.
Marking as lost requires your phone to be working. If not, you can still set up the feature. But it will only be activated when the phone is turned on and connected to the Internet or bluetooth.
In order to activate the mark as missing feature, follow these steps:
• Open the Find My app on your iPad.
• Locate your lost device.
• Under the Mark as missing section, select the Activate option.
• Click on the Continue option.
• Enter a phone number that can be called in case someone finds your phone and then click on the Next option.
• Write a message to display on the lock screen, and then click on the Activate option.

Find Lost iPhone Using Google Maps

To do this, follow these steps:
• Go to this link via the web browser on your computer or phone.
• Sign in to your Google account.
• Select the date of losing the phone.
• Check your last location to find out where you lost your phone.
